Help getting bold lettering to display properly

Hello, I am having trouble getting bold lettering to display properly. I bold the words I want, which shows asterisks, but then on the display screen the astericks still show and the bold doesn’t. Thanks

When you bold, you should not leave space between the stars and the text. For example, this will work:

**bold text**

bold text

But, this won’t work

** bold text **

** bold text **
