Any way to specify # columns for gallery?

I’m testing embedding a list on my WordPress blog - the 3 column ‘gallery’ format is just a bit too small and the “magazine” format feels too big… wishing for 2 column gallery. But I don’t see that as an option.

Any suggestions?

Given the width of the parent container, the gallery items automatically vary between 200 and 250px wide. In a future release, we would be able to make the grid parameters configurable. We will take this request as a vote for that feature.
