Accounts Limits and upgrading to Pro

Greetings from Hong Kong,

I’ve been using Listly for a few months now and am very happy with the product. I use it for embedding two lists on my site (namely my portfolio and sources that contributed to past stories). I even wrote about Listly on LinkedIn Pulse, a glowing review by any standards that encouraged other writers to use the product.

Last week, the embeds stopped working.

So, is the failure to embed because of a problem with limits on a free account, a recent WordPress update and resulting plugin incompatibility or other reason?

Bear in mind I work in IT, so be as technical as you like.

If undisclosed account limits are involved, I’m more than happy to upgrade, as the Listly featureset is superior to other dedicated solutions that have a monthly subscription. As I can’t or will not use a credit card online, please send me the necessary information to pay using bank transfer or PayPal.

There are no limits on embeds and we have no reported issues with plugin updates (although there is an update that we are testing at the moment). Can you share the URL of your lists so we can take a look?

Michael, A quick look at the source indicates that the Listly plugin is not being activated with the embed short code. It could be for two reasons:

  1. There seems to be some extraneous characters ( ) in the embed code and the whole embed code is being treated as a string instead of embed code. You could try deleting the code in your post and insert a fresh code from the embed preview on Listly.

  2. If #1 does not work, you can try removing the Listly plugin and installing it again
