Sending a Listly list as an Email Campaign (beta)

You can send a Listly list as an Email Campaign as long as your Email Platform allows you to import HTML from a URL. The steps below uses MailChimp as a reference:

1/ Any premium list on Listly (including the first three for any user), can be accessed as simple HTML by adding /newsletter/html to the URL. For example:

http://list.ly/list/1E-wireframe-apps-for-desktop-web-and-ipad/newsletter/html

2/ Locate the feature on your email platform that allows you to import HTML from a URL for a custom email campaign. For example, here’s a reference from MailChimp documentation:

3/ Follow steps to import HTML from the Newsletter URL mentioned in step 1

4/ Send out a test campaign

Note: Because of how MailChimp modifies the image URLs from the HTML it imports, the images don’t show up in the campaign preview page, but they work fine when sent out as email.

Does this work with your Email Platform Provider? Please reply to this thread and let us know.

You can send a Listly list as an email campaign if your email platform supports importing HTML from a URL.

Steps:

  1. Access your list’s email-ready HTML by adding /newsletter/html to its URL — e.g.:
    http://list.ly/list/1E-wireframe-apps-for-desktop-web-and-ipad/newsletter/html
  2. In your email tool (e.g. MailChimp), choose the option to import HTML from a URL .
  3. Paste the Listly newsletter URL and create your campaign.
  4. Send a test email to verify formatting (images may not show in previews but will display correctly in sent emails).

:white_check_mark: Works with most platforms that support HTML imports.

I appreciate the tip about keeping lists concise! I’ve noticed that starting with a clear yet limited number of ideas encourages others to share their thoughts and join in. It makes the process more engaging and enjoyable. Plus, it’s fascinating to see what others suggest adding. Thank you for the helpful insights — I’ll definitely apply this approach while exploring Omani Sweets in Dubai for a delightful experience.
